My paycheck,
did it come in right?
One employment contract is enough to see how much you'll be paid this month, and when. If what lands in your account is different, we work out why, together.
Every deduction, from pension to income tax, explained in one line. Most differences come down to how something was calculated, or a date. Pay Check is in closed beta in Korea, and its calculations follow Korean rates for now.
Fri, Oct 23
This month's pay is worked out.
My pay
October pay
$2,665
Expected Fri, Oct 23 · moved up because the 25th is a holiday
From $3,000 before deductions: $272 for insurance and $62 in tax.
Enter what you received
Just the amount, and I'll match it with what we expected. A bank screenshot or payslip photo works too.
Match with expectedDifferent? You get the three most likely reasons and a polite message to ask your employer.
It starts with one contract
Take a photo of your employment contract, and Checkio reads the base pay, allowances, hours and payday. The photo travels over an encrypted connection and is deleted as soon as it's read. It isn't stored.
Photograph your contract
Anything it couldn't read is highlighted in yellow. No contract? Type the details in.
This month's expected pay
The amount, the date, and why this much is deducted, one line per item. If payday lands on a weekend, the date moves too.
Match it with what came in
Enter the amount, or upload a bank screenshot or payslip photo. If it's different, you get the three most likely reasons, biggest first.
If it's different, find the reason first
Most differences come from how something was calculated, or when. Once you know why, one polite question usually sorts it out.
An app employers recommend to their staff
When staff can check the numbers first, owners get fewer questions and fewer misunderstandings. Everyone looking at the same numbers makes things easier for both sides.
Made for
Anyone whose pay has ever been different from what they expected, or who gets a payslip and isn't sure what it means.

Promises so you can use it with peace of mind.
About the closed beta
We're refining Pay Check with a small group of employees in Korea.
- Free. Use it and tell us what's inconvenient.
- Works on phone or computer, nothing to install.
- No contract? Your base pay and payday are enough to start.
- Each person's data is stored separately on servers in our office in Korea. Photos are deleted as soon as they're read.
Questions
The numbers are slightly off from my payslip.
Insurance may be based on the salary your employer reported, and payroll software rounds in slightly different ways. A small difference is nothing to worry about. If it's large, upload a photo of your payslip in the app to compare item by item.
Is Pay Check employment advice?
No. It calculates from your contract and official rates, and gives the likely reasons and general guidance. For anything that needs a legal judgment, please talk to a qualified professional.
Can employers recommend it to staff?
Yes, that's what it's made for. When staff see their take-home pay and the reasons for differences first, owners don't get the same question again and again. Each employee's pay records are visible only to them.
Will my employer find out?
No. Pay Check sends nothing to your employer. The message is only drafted, and you decide whether to send it.
Where does my contract photo go?
It's uploaded to Doncheck's server over an encrypted connection, and deleted right after it's read. We don't keep the text either, only the numbers you confirm, like base pay and payday. It isn't sent to outside companies, including AI services.
Does it work for part-time jobs?
Yes. Your hourly rate, hours per day and days per week are enough, and it checks your pay against the minimum wage.
Which countries does it work in?
For now, calculations follow Korean rates. Join the waitlist with your country, and we'll prioritize where people are waiting.
How much is it?
Free during the beta.
Who runs it?
ALE Corp. in Seoul, Korea, as part of the Doncheck family. Questions are welcome at alefniamc@gmail.com.
